Merlin, the Modern Day Wizard.

“It’s charged,” the wizard exclaimed to his apprentice as he took his crystal from the moon alter and attached it to his beautifully hand carved staff. His friends, and pretty much everyone else call him Merlin, the modern day wizard. He earned this name in his younger days as a hacker when he invented the spell virus, which seamed to cast a spell on a users pc, causing it to be fully under Merlin’s control. He played around with this virus for a while till he realized the real magic was in things most people could never fathom. He was skilled at every thing he did, but his top skills were alchemy, necromancy, technomancy, telemetraphy, computer hacking, and shamanism. He began his studies of these subjects at a very young age indeed. He was hacking into mainframes at the young age of 8, and by the time he was ten could completely ravage even the governments most powerful systems. This is when he learned of the various forms of magic and mysticism, and shortly after he began his studies of metaphysics. Now at age 28 he was an adept at all forms of magic he had learned, and yet still he continued to study all that he could, including the dark arts. He felt as though for one to truly understand the nature of the universe one must see things in the full spectrum. On this day he had collected his much coveted crystal, as many felt without it he would be powerless. Only his apprentice Malice knew that though the crystal improved Merlin’s abilities to control the magic he understood, his limitations without the crystal would be insignificant. Today was the day that Malice was to learn his first lessons in necromancy, and Merlin wanted to be sure that there was a fail safe, just in case something went wrong with any incantations Malice performed. Malice was a good student, but even under Merlin’s wing Malice was often clumsy, and occasionally summoned things that where often thought of as atrocities. Merlin would have never wanted an apprentice, but Malice and his meeting was an obvious sign of the wheels of fate turning. The day they met was a powerful day with Saturn aligned with the earth and sun perfectly. Merlin was preparing for a spell involving the control of weather when Malice stumbled into his cellar. Malice had been chased into the room by something Merlin had not seen since his first years of training as a wizard. This apparition was only there long enough to show the way for Malice, then without hesitation in a cloud of mist the creature was gone. Malice showed a natural ability to commune with the souls of the dead, and this interested Merlin, so he promised to make Malice his apprentice as long as he would scrye for Merlin in times of need. They formed a pack, and Merlin began teaching Malice many of the arts he knew, and gave him the freedom to learn about subjects he had interest in as well. They also formed a pack that if either of them learned knowledge that would be useful to the other that they would without hesitation teach one another such knowledge. This day though was as said before Malice’s first lesson in necromancy. Merlin gathered a few corpse of small animals to be placed on the alter, he then instructed Malice to place the necessary items on the alter, such as candles, and his own personal power ankh. Then Merlin handed his staff with fully charged crystal to Malice, and instructed him to perform the ritual.
Without hesitation Malice quoted the text in his book, “Wake creature whose life which ended fast, wake and walk with the living, with memory of the past, time is not yet over for thee, this is my will blessed be.” And with a wave of energy flowing from the staff two of the animals were reanimated. The third though disappeared in a green flame, apparently to charge life into the other two. This is a result Merlin had only read about, but the ritual was a success otherwise, and Merlin was confident that Malice could further his studies in necromancy.

the stranger

The dark chasm was overloaded with creatures so unsightly one look could kill. This is where the bodies where found that distant muggy summer. The lakes where low the land was dry, and the plants where all but dead due to a drought that seamed to last for 8 seasons. Some people think that this was all related to those infernal creatures. It is difficult to say what the truth of the matter as the people where powerless to do anything until the day the stranger came. He was dressed like a vampire out of a bad horror movie. He had a black leather trench coat, long dark hair, piercing blue eyes, and a stunning look as though he could seduce even the most prude full woman with a mere glance. He carried a long broad sword that must have been dated back to the dark ages. He rarely smiled, and his eyes told a story of a man who had lived a long lonely life of solitude and pain. How bleak was the times before he arrived in this small mining town. For the creatures came out at night, and took, women, children and even full-grown men when the chance arrived. They where horrifying to look at, and though their looks can be deadly, this is not the most fearsome quality of the creatures. Their appetite was ferocious as they consumed on the eyes of their victims. The town priest speculated that they where devouring the souls of the innocence, but this is something that cannot be proven.
The stranger came into town on the hottest of days that year. He came with the knowledge of the creatures, and the passion to destroy them. His mission was to collect their skulls and return them to a collector in Scotland, who offered the man 10,000 per skull. When the stranger arrived he asked the townspeople how to find the creatures. They without hesitation gave him a map to the location where they slept. He then bought supplies, and headed out of town towards the chasm of fear where the creatures dwelled. Once there he entered the mouth of the cave cautiously. With a lit torch in one hand his sword in the other he slowly journeyed down the corridors of the dwelling. Once he reached their place of slumber, he slowly began annihilating them one by one. Then the strongest of the creatures awoke, and spit acid at the stranger, catching his coat, and melting it away. He fought long and hard with this creature and suffered many wounds that would be considerably mortal to most human beings. Yet in the end he defeated them all, and claimed his reward. Not long after the stranger left, the heat seamed to subside, and the rains came, peace was restored to the land, but this was not yet the end, for the stranger returned a few months later, this time he came for the townspeople.

sacred fruit

Bright and stary lights shown down on them. The mountains rumbled and exploded with furry as if the gods had a bone to pick with humanity. The winds blew in a terrible and horrifieing storm. Thunder and lightining, rain and hail; it fell on them with vengence. And then there was silence It was so quiet you could here the wreckage of the storm settle. The sun was covered by dark gloomy clouds that seamed to hover over their beutiful little island. There was two tribes upon this island, and of the two tribes were that of a young warrior belonging to the first and a princess belonging to the second. Ofr they were to be married before this the great reconing. It was their wedding night when the horindous peril came down upon both the tribes.

The warrior was in the forrest hunting for food when he came to find a large boar. He chased the swine for what seamed like miles when he had fell into the cavern. Deep within the heart of this cavern he found and underground forrest wich was lush, wonderful and full of life. There was a magnificigant steamed that seamed to come from above ground somewhere, and it seamed to be so fresh so clean so pure that the gods themselves never had it so good. He knew it must have been there to suport the underground forrest.

He ventured on past the stream when he came to a trail that led him to a large Idol. And on this Idol layed a single succulant fruit that was inviteable and tempting. The warrior who had not eaten in hours was hungry, so much so that he could not resist removeing this fruit from its place upon the Idol. So the young warrior took the fruit and begain to feast on is gloriousness. Then in a flash of light and smoke he was transported back to his village only to witness the boar he was chaseing bruitaly butcher his bride to be. In raged he attaced the boar and killed it with his bare hands, then ate from its uncooked flesh and drank from its blood. Then came the storms, winds, smoke, fire and distruction.

A loud hypnotic voice spoke out over the island," Because of you insolent warrior, you, your tribe, and the tribe of your dead bride will all perish in tragedy. You yourself will never know what love life and death can bring for I snetence you to oblivion." Then the volcano erupted and destroyed every man woman and child on the entire island. The there was only silence.

rapture

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And on this earth God created the plants, the animals, the fishes in the sea, And amongst all of its creations its most glorious creation was that of Man and Woman..... But who is this "God" and why did it create us. For what purpose were we to strive an flourish and multiply? This is the story of a miracle that can only be described as Gods will......

And all Those whom were of the faithful were lifted up into the heavens and felt the rapture of god, as those who were un faithful were to experience the great day of recognizing....... The Armageddon.....

I was always told these stories in my youth when I was attending my Catholicism classes. I didn't really know what to think of these word due to the fact that all of what I had been taught otherwise was to think rationally, Yet this bible was full of irrational stories and revelations..... I never completely understood what they meant until the day that they come..... The foreign ones, the extra terrestrial beings from another planet or dimension perhaps....

It was a cold day in December and The mist was brewing in from the south. The harbor was delightfully beautiful on the morning of our rapture. The suns rays on the clouds brought out hues of pink, yellow orange and purple all of which gleaming off the Ocean water. The seagulls were in flight and many ships were leaving port to head out for what was to be a good day for fishing. The parish was getting ready for their annual visit of the arch bishop from Rome.... The children were running in the streets and playing in the snow... Everything was peaceful and wonderful. I was sitting on my front porch admiring the view and enjoying my much needed day off from work. I had been out on the job site for three weeks working on a new building for my contractor. It was supposed to be a new office for the Dyna Corp. A large software distributor. I was sitting in my chair enjoying the cold breeze when I noticed a strange object hovering over the bay... It was nothing like I had ever seen. It reminded me of something I had read about in a science fiction novel about aliens and they’re ufo’s. I never expected to see anything like it. My wife came out on the front porch and said,"Said come look at this on the news.... Oh my god what is it?" "I don't know Mindy, but it has been hovering there few a few minutes not." So I went to see what was on the TV and apparently there were sightings of these strange objects all over the world. Apparently they were hovering over all of the Churches and places of unusually low crime.

Just then I heard my wife scream. I ran out side and noticed people being lifted up into the object and then it moved for us. In a moments time it gathered us up and I felt a serene rush of energy come over me. The next thing that I knew is that I was floating in the beam looking at my wife with an extreme calm, felling as though I had just drank a gallon of bliss. Could this be I question, Nirvana..? then before I knew it we were on board the ship with hundreds of other people all contented and oblivious to why they were there. Then I heard screams and I looked outside a large glass window and I saw people being burned alive. As we ascended I saw people running and fighting. I saw the famine and the greed we were leaving behind. Then I saw the sun turn black the moon turn red as blood. I saw the waters of the earth boiling and the people whaling in anguish. I saw the mountains recede and the earth quaked. The stars appeared to fall from the sky and the sky rolled up like a scroll. And then there was silence. And even though we all witnessed the horrors below, we were all raped in bliss we all were experiencing our rapture.......

chamber of horrors

I awoke in a cold dark chamber to the sounds of tortured screams. In my fear I began to sob; For not only were there the cries of men, but women and children as well. When I came to my senses I could see by touch light the rats, spiders, snakes, and all other forms of revolting creatures. My hands and feet were shackled, my bonds were attached to a chain that seemed to be hooked to a wench of some sort. Bellow me was a pit filled with horrid spikes and was engulfed in flames. Above me was what appeared to be a fountain but a horrible odor came from the liquid that dripped on my head. Still the tortured screams rang out lout, yet they seemed to be louder, as if they were drawing near my cell. I then felt a downpour of thick liquid that fell upon my body saturating me from head to toe.The liquids putrid smell made me queasy. The chain was lowered three feet, and I was violently flung against several spikes. The pain was unbearable, but when I thought it could not get any worse I was quickly dipped in the fire. I cried out in agony. I feared the tortured I was receiving and I knew that I was going to die. In a weakened state I hung helplessly weeping and moaning. I passed out from the pain.

I awoke to find myself in a delirious state of existence oozing with puss from the burns and lacerations on my body. I could not understand why I was still alive, nor would I have been so anxious to find out where I was if I would have thought deeper into it. "Why are you doing this?" I cried. Yet no one would answer. I did not think of the time I stole my mothers car, or the time I killed my best friend over a girl whom I did not truly know or care for. I didn’t remember the time I poisoned and entire town, because the law enforcement did not give proper justice to the man who raped my daughter. Nor was I weary to the way that I killed him, by chopping his penis off and choking him with it. The duration of my life I had committed various acts of crimes on the humanitarian level and the spiritual level. I didn’t even remember killing my daughter for eloping with a bi racial man.

How could I remember, my captives drugged me to a state of oblivion. I was never aware of my past. I wasn’t even aware of the day I fell into a deep sleep. Now here I am in an ominous existence, bleakly struggling to survive. Here comes the thick liquid, which I now recognize as lamp oil. It burns my wounds, I cry out once again. Then as the previous day I was rammed into the spikes, and dipped into the fire. Then ascending in flames they extinguished me. Screaming and weeping I fear my misery will never end. "Why oh why are you doing this, what did I do to deserve this?" I bellowed, yet still no one answered. Once again from the pain and exhaustion I proceeded into unconsciousness.

Day Three I awoke once again in this a chamber of horrors and once again I awoke to the sounds of tortured screams. I awoke in more terror and misery. Once again I went through the same subjection of pain and anguish. This time I cried out "Where am I?" and this time a voice answered back, "don’t you already know?" I exclaimed,"Hell no, where the hell am I?" The voice replied "Remember your life, remember your death; remember how you lived remember how you died, remember the cold steal when you were cut by a knife. Welcome to your eternity, welcome to my chamber of horrors!

and what of sunset?

Let me tell you doctor, if you would have been there it would be you under psychological evaluation. It all started my first day of school and though I was new it did not take long for me to make friends. I was the only girl in this school whom was part of the Gothic sub-culture. "Why would you wish to be a part of that gloomy sub-culture?" the doctor interrogated. Well you see doc, I enjoy dark subjects, you could say I like living in shadows. As I was saying, I was the only girl in school whom was Gothic, and on my first day, second period ( biology class) I met some who seamed to be exactly like me. His name was Alex. His hair was died raven black and was down to the middle of his back, just past his shoulder blades. His eyes was dark and piercing and his skin was pale and ghost like. He was tall and appeared to be built well. Alex wore clothing that appeared to be from the dark ages and with the amount of piercings he looked like he belonged to a circus. Yet the mysteriousness alone made him attractive. I wanted to know him.

At lunch Alex walked up and asked," Casandra, where are you from." I told him of my home in L.A., how I was forced to leave because my father got a better job. How I missed all of my friends including my best girlfriend whom I missed the most. I told him of the trip to this horrid state and how I hated the negative looks I received when I first walked into school. I even told him of the cat I watched in horror as a drunk driver plowed him over as I was sitting on the porch of my new home." It sounds like you really liked this Alex" Exclaimed the doctor! Well that's why they say listen, and learn then speak. You know, every thing seamed to be great, but in all honesty meeting Alex was were my troubles began.

Well later on that day, the star quarter back of school , "Jack Allen? " Questioned the doctor."What a wonderful boy!" He exclaimed. Jack was a perv. Doc! If you would have spent much time with him you would realize that. " Well Casandra I have spent a couple of sessions with him and by my psychoanalysis he seemed to be and outstanding young man." Replied the doctor.

Where did you get your p.h.d. doc? A cracker jack box? Anyways as I was saying Jack invited me to a party at his cabin in the woods on Halloween. He told me, " everyone is going to be there including your friend Alex; it will be fun!" "Oh yeah!" I exclaimed, "whats gonna happen at this party of yours?" I interrogated. Jack replied,"Well little miss freak, enough alcohol to kill 12 elephants and various other recreational drugs. I’m giving 100 dollars for the best costume and I’ve hired the best caterer in town. All you have to do is show up." "How could I possibly turn you down?" I said. That night I spoke with Alex and asked if he would take me to the party. He questioned "can you handle ridding on my Harley?" And of course I said yes.

At the end of the school week I found myself more and more impatient for the weekend to come; I was anxious to spend time in the woods with Alex. On Saturday Halloween, things were like any other day in this town, except children were running in the streets in full costume during the day. At sunset Alex rode up, I was sitting on the porch awaiting his arrival. We left promptly and ventured what seamed like miles down an old dirt road in the Forrest. When we finally reached our destination at the party, we saw the most beautiful old house on a hill a few minutes away from the site. I asked Alex who lived there. "Oh just Timmy Johnson, the town geek," he said. "Why do you say that, Alex," I Questioned? "Well all he does is stay at home with his cats playing with his computers." Alex sighed, " Its a rather drab existence, if you ask me." When we entered the cabin Sandy Green greeted us. "Hi how are ya’ll doing?" "The keg is in the back, everyone is out back waiting for the band." "There’s a band!" I looked at Alex as I exclaimed. Sandy said excitedly, " Oh yes, they are so cool, Ivan and the Demi-gods." "They play a very heavy industrial sound." She explained.

As we stepped outside the back doors we saw a large group of vampires, zombies, witches, and a few other ghouls. The party goers were everywhere, some of which were already too inebriated to stand up. About this time four stoners carrying a blunt walked up and introduced themselves. "Hi my name is Amy, and this is Josh, Jill, and Buddy. We’ve seen you in school, Casandra and were wondering; do you get high?" I opened my eyes wide and said,"At least some people in this town appreciates fine herbs." Everyone laughed and Alex and I followed them to a secluded spot in the woods to smoke. Just as the blunt was lit we could hear a loud ruckus at the party.

"Don’t be startled, its just the Demi-gods warming up to the crowd." Amy stated to me. There music was alluring, that I uncontrollably got up halfway through the blunt and walked back into the crowd of people. The Demi-gods was definitely a demonous band of cultish killers. Beth the guitarist was dressed in a long black evening gown with crimson spider webbing designs, she had long red hair and looked like a temptress. Jimmy the drummer was wearing an executioner suit and mask, and looked as he fit the part perfectly. And Ivan looked like something from a Steven King novel. He was wearing leather pants, a black biker jacket and chains everywhere. He was tall and evil looking with red eyes to match. His bass seamed to play a rhythm that spoke to the subconscious, and vocals that were eerie and seductive. When Ivan sang all the hairs on the back of my neck stood strait up. Alex was jealous, I could see it in his eyes.

Alex asked, "Can we go for a walk?" I replied with a yes as I rolled my eyes in the back of my head. We walked fo a while when we heard a scream. We ran as fast as we could when we saw Jack ripping Sandy’s cloths off. Sandy screamed once again and Alex playing the hero type ran up to Jack and decked him. I grabbed Sandy and proceeded to help her to the party. "I thought that you and jack were a couple," I pried? Sandy exclaimed we are but he’s pissed off that I won’t have sex with him.""He says that there is no way I’m a cheerleader and still a virgin. He thought I had been cheating on him. I don’t know why it is so hard for him to understand that I am waiting for the right moment." She sobbed. I did my best to comfort Sandy, but she told me he had done this before. When Alex caught up with us he had blood on his lip, he said that Jack got him with a punch but is now lying in the dirt sleeping off the alcohol. When I tried to touch the blood, Alex suspiciously jumped back and said,"I’m fine, everything will be OK." Then he told me we was going to go back to check on Jack. When we arrived at the party Sandy said she was going to go inside to rest. I joined up with Amy and Josh. I was in the mood to get high and so I told them of the disaster that occurred. They told me that this was a weekly thing with Jack and Sandy. "How could she stay with a monster like that?" I asked. "You know how it is when you are in love." Sighed Amy. "Love is blind," laughed Josh. Amy punched him for his lack of sensitivity. Meanwhile upstairs in the loft where Sandy was resting Ivan slipped in and grabbed her by the hair an dragged her to a circle in the woods where Beth and Jimmy waited. Sandy screamed in terror,"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Ivan replied,"Well my dear, you are a virgin, this is Hallows eve and we wish to sacrifice you to our master.." He drew a sword from its sheath, removed her cloths and slit her throat. Laughing hysterically he captured every last drop of blood in a large goblet. "With this the master will certainly make us immortal," Blasted Ivan. Each of the Demi-gods drank a sip of the virgin’s blood. Then they proceeded to the old house on the hill. When they got to the house a shadowy figure answered the door, took the goblet from Ivan and drank all of the contents. "Very good Ivan, this is truly exceptional blood!" exclaimed Timmy. "Master when will you allow us to join you, When will you make us as you are now?" questioned Ivan. "Ah but you must be patient my children, you must wait till the moon is full so that you don’t deform into the living dead. What you seek is to be undead. Now go back to the party and perform your second set. They’ll love the special Halloween effects you’ll be providing.’ Laughed Timmy.

Back at the party I was getting high with Amy, Josh, Jill, and Buddy when Alex turned back up. "Hey" he said," Jack was gone when I got back..." I was shocked because the party was at Jack’s house, but I didn’t think any more of it when Ivan climbed on stage and screamed in a loud demonic voice. "Do ya’ll want some more?" the crowd went wild which seamed to please Ivan. The band began playing and out of nowhere a strange mist blew in. At that moment I decided to go and check on Sandy. Josh and Amy came with me , while Buddy and Jill stayed with Alex to which the band. When we went upstairs Sandy was nowhere to be found. And as we started descending down the stairs we could hear the music getting more intense, then could hear the horrifying screams. "Whats happening?" Nervously questioned Amy. But no one knew. When we got down the stairs, Alex was there to great us. "Alex whats happening?" I inquired excitedly. " Nothing, just people getting a little rowdy." Quickly answered Alex. And as we tried to go back outside Alex stood in front of us in an intimidating way. Before I could blink he took Josh and bit into his neck. I stood their petrified as the blood poured out of Joshes neck and he fell lifeless to the floor. Amy and I hurriedly fled to the back door. Alex seamed to busy with the blood at the moment to care. "Oh my god, Alex is a vampire!" I screamed to Amy. When we got to the door and opened it the most horrific sight awaited us. As the band played on a legion of vampires was attacking the crowd with furry. People were running and screaming, there was death everywhere. Amy and I could see Jill and Buddy hiding benieth a table so we called out to them," Run this way, Hurry!" But as they got close to us Alex grabbed Buddy and made him a second course meal. Jill just barely made it inside. "What are we going to do?, they’re going to kill us for sure.", Sobbed Amy. I thought for a moment and decided it would be best to take the truck outside. We ran out the front door and headed to the truck, we got inside and started it. Then we turned the lights on and there in front of us stood Alex. I put the truck in gear and plowed over Alex. " Lets go to Timmy’s house," Said Jill, "He’ll know what to do."

So up the hill we drove to Timmy’s. We got out of the truck and ran to the door. Frantically we rang the door bell, when a dark shadowy figure answered. "Yes may I help you girls?" We pushed him aside and ran into the house. "Close the door quickly, they are out there, they are going to get us, Hurry!" I demanded. Timmy closed and bolted the door then questioned what was happening. We explained everything that had occurred to him, then he invited us to go to the basement. He said we would be safe there. "Now you say vampires were attacking everyone at the party. Also you say your boyfriend was one of them yet you do not understand how he was able to walk during the day? Very interesting story young ladies, how much have you girls had to drink? Timmy laughed bluntly. "No we all saw it!" I yelled in furry. "Well I am sure you did." Said Timmy. Just then the doorbell rang. "Just a moment, I’ll return, but first I must see who is here," Replied Timmy. " Oh please don’t go sir!" I cried out. He replied." Everything is fine, everything will be ok, Timmy is here now." After he left I looked at Jill and Amy and said, " We’ve got to get out of here, he is one of them." "You are just being paranoid!" Exclaimed Amy. Just then Timmy came down with Ivan, Beth, and Jimmy. "Well now here is three people who were at this party of yours and they can fully back your story up." Timmy stated. I questioned,"how did you three get out of there?" Ivan answered, " Perhaps vampires don’t drink the blood of people who have massive amounts of coke in their body." (At the time that made plenty of since, but if I would have followed my heart Jill would still be alive today.)

"What happened to Jill?" the doctor questioned. Well as we were explaining more of the story to Timmy, Ivan grabbed and restrained me, then Beth and Jimmy grabbed Jill and Amy and restrained them. Timmy laughed a sinister laugh as he said, "you know girls you should really be careful whom you trust. I am the father of all those children who crashed the party. I am the one who sent them.

Oh and Alex, well he’s my favorite of the bunch. The reason that he can walk during the day is because he wont be immortal till his 18th birthday. You see I slept with a mortal, so Alex is a hybrid. And when a hybrid is born they have 18 years of day walking before they are allowed to bask in immortality. These people here, they are not vampires, they are just a cult of wanna be’s to do my bidding for an exchange in immortality, yet they have outlived there usefulness. I think I’ll kill them first." Nervously Ivan spoke," what are you talking about Timmy, we had a deal?" " Hahaha, I don’t make deals with pathetic mortals such as the likes of you." Chuckled Timmy. " But master you gave your word." Exclaimed Beth. " You can never trust a vampire Beth, especially one who uses computers," I cried out. "Help us Ivan" I begged. Then in all the commotion Ivan unsheathed his sword and attacked Timmy while Beth and Jimmy untied us. But Ivan was no mach for Timmy. Timmy took Ivan and brutally decapitated him with one quick motion from his hand. Then Timmy cornered us. Jill looked at me with a solum smile and said,"run, I’ll hold him off." As we fled I looked back only to witness Timmy draining Jill’s life. When we got to the truck it wouldn’t start. Beth told us that it was no use because before they had entered Timmy’s they sabbatoged it. So we ran to the highway that was intersecting a mile down on the dirt road. Just then a shadowy figure dropped from the sky, it was Alex. " Going somewhere losers, embrace the death that comes to you, it is inevitable." Exclaimed Alex. Jimmy pulled a dagger and trusted it into Alex’s heart. Alex fell to the dirt as a rich black substance poured from his chest. And with his dieing breath he confessed, " I never asked to be this way..." And then he was gone, the only thing left was the black blood that saturated the ground. We continued to run. When we made it to the highway a car was traveling down the road. Beth jumps out in its path and the car pulled over. A familiar voice called out," What’s wrong with you I could have ran you down?’

It was Mrs. Jensen my history teacher. We told her of what had happened, so she drove us to town. The next day Mrs Johnson woke us up and asked if we wanted to ride with her. We asked where but all she could say is,"you’ll find out soon enough. So out of curiosity we obliged. The next thing I know we are heading down the highway in the direction of the Forrest where the previous night’s events had occurred. Then we were on the old dirt road leading to the old house in the woods. I had a strange feeling that we where going to Timmy’s. " What are you crazy," I yelled. "Well if this is ever going to end we must go back and destroy Timmy." She stated with an encouragable smirk. So after Amy and I calmed ourselves we all went back to the old house on the hill. Inside we found a collection of skulls that Timmy must have kept as trophy's. We ventured into the basement and found a secret passage way which led to the crypt. Inside the crypt was a circle of candles burning around three coffins, one of which must have been Alex’s. The middle coffin was where Timmy slept. When we removed the lid there Timmy lied with blood still fresh on his lips. His gut was bloated and he seamed to be in a deep sleep. " Well obviously Halloween is thanks giving for vampires!" I jokingly stated. Everyone gave me dirty looks. "WHAT? , if you can’t have humor in tough situations how can they be delt with?" I inquired. Then Mrs Jensen pulled from her bag a silver dagger with a red ruby in the handle. She lifted the knife above her head and said an incantation then plunged the weapon into his heart. Timmy awoke, grabbed her by the throat and pulled her into his coffin. Mrs Jensen yelled,"run girls, run!"

Mrs Jensen must have been killed by Timmy or possibly the explosion, because I never saw her again after that night. ‘Well you still have not explained why you are here" the doctor inquired with a puzzled look on his face. Well doc, As we were leaving, the house exploded and I felt something hit me on the head.

The next thing I remember is waking up to see your face hovering over me. Amy must have brought me here. "Well my dear that is an incredible story, and its too bad that you are not going to live to tell this tale to any one else." The doctor laughed menacingly. " You see my name is Dr Jonson and you killed my son."
"Gasp"

in horror

In horror.

Long has it been since anything has been written. Long has it been since the author has been able to take the time to sit down and think, much less write a story about the things that transpire in a persons life. Some people call it writers block, others call it burn out, but the truth of the matter is, creativity is like water, sometimes it flows and sometimes it stagnates, but with change of the seasons, the rain shall fall again. The writer knew today was the day, as he sat at his desk, preparing to type away at his computer…

It was a cold and rainy day when the world stood still. Depression ran thick like fog on a lake in the early morn. Most days like this would normal keep people indoors though, most days like this you wouldn’t see much activity in the world, but nothing like this had happened before.

The writer sat back and contemplated his words, waiting for the next flow of creativity to take him down his road of discovery. As he sat in contemplation he slowly smoked his cigar and took a drink of his 7-year-old scotch on the rocks. He looked around his office for a bit, and patiently waited for the muse to give him the next lines.

The storm blew upon shore with such ferocity, violently tossing the waves against the rocks and sand of the usually beautiful beach. No bird in sight on this day, no dogs chasing cats, nothing of the normal sort of animals running amuck. This made me feel weary of what was to come, it made me fearful knowing something was on its way. The sky was blacker then night, and swirled with majestic gothic clouds the lightning was fierce as rain and hail spilled to the ground. Not a car was on the street, not a truck on the highway, the world had completely stopped in this quiet bay town; something dark was sure to be on its way.

The writer sat and contemplated more, waiting for yet more of the story to unfold, when he heard the faint sound of thunder to the west. Thinking that there may be a storm on its way, he decided he would save his progress in case of any power failures. Then he got up from his chair and headed into his den to get more scotch and another cigar. This time he brought the whole bottle back with him, to sit at his desk. He poured another glass took a drink and began writing again.

Not long after the storm hit shore the town had a darker look to it a darker feel to it, this is when all hell broke loose. The creatures they came, without any real warning. They took people and animals without question or reason, one by one they would capture someone or something. It wasn’t much time past before the town was desolate aside from myself who watched it all go away in horror.

The writer awoke from his writing spell, by the distraction of the near by thunder and the flashes of lightning that appeared before him. He looked out his bay window only to notice how dark the sky had become, and the waves violently crashing against the shore. He noticed that no one seamed to be stirring outside, no people, no animals, and no traffic anywhere. Finding this odd he turned on the TV for the news report. Yet for some reason there wasn’t anything on the news, actually there wasn’t anything on the TV, it was almost as if the world had stopped in his quiet little bay town. When he said this out loud to himself, he realized that he had just written this, in his story. His hairs on the back of his neck stood up, as he worried what could be happening. “Could I be creating this reality?” he thought to himself. And then they came, the creatures without warning, as a dark feeling raised upon the writer. They took people and animals without question or reason, one by one they would capture someone or something. It wasn’t much time past before the town was desolate aside from the writer who watched it all go away in horror.

It was a cold rainy day, and I was sitting in my den reading the new book I bought a few weeks ago. I was thankful for this day for it gave me plenty of time to read. I work construction, and on days like this day, I have little to do but read. My reading interest usually involves the esoteric subjects, like religion, spirituality, and magic. The book I was reading was called, The Ways of the Spirit and Mind With Conjunction On Reality. I was eager to read this, as a friend who was a scholar of theology at the local university had recommended it to me. So I began to read this book, and was intrigued by the opening lines.

As you read this book you will find the bounds of time and reality will bend beyond your comprehension. The text within these pages will mold a new universe beyond that of the ration realms of the mind, and will open up your spirit to that which is ethereal. You will wake up from your dream, and be astonished at what you will find was once a locked in a shroud of shadowy secrecy, is now a lifted vale of truth. Be warned this is not for the faint of heart, and not for those whom wish to continue with there sleep.

I read on, and with each moment I read I began to feel myself becoming light and buoyant. The excitement washed over me and I was losing myself within the pages. I read for what seamed like hours before my stomach began to growl. So I put the book down and headed to my kitchen for some food, where I decided to make a salad. I added all of the fresh vegetables I had and topped it off with some ranch dressing. Then I poured myself a glass of red wine, and headed back to my den with food in hand.
I ate my food slowly as I read on through the book. And occasionally I would sip on my wine. The rain now poured outside, and the thunder grew ferociously loud. But it did not distract me from my reading; rather it calmed me, and set the mood.

The first chapter was more on the history of the book and where it had come from, and though most would find this awfully drab, I found myself enraptured by these pages. But the second chapter is where the book became even more interesting. And as I read the second chapter I began to visualize the words taking form.

As you read and learn, your mind becomes filled with knowledge. The more you learn the more you grow. You extend what was only a little into what will be so much more. And the light of the cosmos fills you, enriching your heart mind and body. Your soul begins to quicken, and connect to all that is, While your body and mind under go drastic changes. You notice that all things have a purpose, and a meaning. You wake to the morning of a new dawn, and find things where not as you where told. And you see the colors of what was black and white fade into a spectrum, of brilliance.

As I read these words though I didn’t notice this at the time, things where changing all around me. I was learning, and I was growing. And I was seeing the old ways of things being just black and white where now fading, and the truth of the mater is that there is more to life then just shades of gray.
Later on I noticed my heart was beating with an altered rhythm. I finally finished my wine, and decided I would take a break from reading. So I put my jacket on and stepped outside to watch the rain and lighting. The streets where fluent with water, the mild current carried trash and twigs into the gutters nearby. I looked across the street and my neighbors where sitting on their porch drinking some beer. I waved and smiled, before heading back in to read more.

I poured myself another glass of wine and headed back to my den to pick up where I left off in my book. By this time I was on the third chapter.
And again I felt myself falling into the pages and melting within the book.

As you learn more, you find yourself less apt to boredom and more apt to creativity, and questioning. You find that much of what is in your world is designed to distract you from the true goal in life, to learn and apply that knowledge as well as share it. And when you learn these things, all of what once occupied your time, we seam childish. You will feel yourself becoming more aligned with true adulthood. This is the first step to freedom. You release your bonds and constraints of time, and journey into the realms of knowledge. But with that knowledge comes power, and power is not to be held lightly for with power comes responsibility.
Now that you know that the things you have filled your days with are meaningless distractions, and that you are responsible for your own life, you are becoming more and more free, from that mundane existence you once lived. This is the second freedom.

I relaxed in my recliner and thought for a moment and began to realize how true this is. And then sank back into my book and read some more.
By this time the rain and lightning was as calm as I was. Deeper into the pages of this book I became entranced with its words and found that though only a couple of hours had passed since I had come back in from watching the rain, I was nearly to the end of the book.

Now it is time to learn the third and final freedom. You have learned about your world and the responsibility you have within it, you have learned about the knowledge and the power that comes with it, and you have learned that you have been sleep walking in the distractions of your secular world. Now it is time to learn, true freedom. To be truly free or to know no bounds is to take in all you can and learn it. It is to know that the physical realm is but an illusion, and that you directly dictate your limits.
You will come to find that your limits are created by the mind, and by want. Thus if you have objects in your home which distract you, remove them. There is one less bound for you to have to worry about.
Without items for thieves to get, you have no worries of robbers. Without sentimental items that can be burned by fire, you have no worries about flame. Now you must rid yourself of that which you dwell within, for your home is a place that holds you like a cell. You follow the same routines daily because of this dwelling. These things capture you and compel you to do things that you wish you could break free of, yet you can as you have just learned. But this is not yet the third and final freedom. You still have much to learn.

I took a deep breath, and sighed as I read this, for I could feel the energy and truth within this book resonating within all of my being. And I paused for a moment and thought to myself, “ this book is changing me, I can feel it, this book is changing my word, for I know things I have not yet contemplated.” Then I read on.

Once you have rid yourself of you dwelling and your secular distractions, you must then rid yourself of that which binds your natural form, for your cloths keep you from receiving all that which is. These are binding and restricting from your natural movements. Remove them and be free.
Also you must forget about your daily job for it is yet another distraction. But now you know that you don’t need this job because you don’t need the items you buy, or the house you pay rent on, nor the cloths you ware. Take all of these things and sell them, buy with them books on the subjects, which you wish to learn, and leave the place of men and women. Head into the wilderness where there are ample amounts of food, which will give you energy. By now you are almost completely free. The final freedom is simple, as when you read this you will be fully free. But wait, you must be free of all other things before you move on to the third freedom.
And I say to you, be careful of what you read next, for what comes next can make or break you.

I paused and took another break before reading on. I walked outside and the sun mildly shone as it was setting in the spectacular sky. I felt a whole new awareness takes me over, and everything I saw was beautiful. But I wish I had head the warning in the book. What happened next became my master and I its slave.

To be fully free you must realize that nothing is beyond your reach, as you where created with more ability then you could have ever imagined.
The source of all things made them so that they could learn and grow, and become that which created them. This is the third freedom. The freedom to create with will. This is the most powerful in lessons for as you visualize it so shall it be.
But knowing this can be ones own undoing, as the things within your mind that has been gathered over time must be removed. Anything of negative proportions can and will drag you under into the maelstrom of the abyss.
Take time to free your mind, before you liberate your soul, or all hell will break loose and you will have nothing but torment.

Still not fully grasping what the book was saying I read on.

Close your eyes and realize that where you once where, now you are not. Know that the existence you dwell in is just energy condensed, as are you. Know that with each breath in you build your cosmic energy level higher, as your molecules vibrate higher. Breathe in deeply to raise the vibration level one step. Breathe out to release the weight within your being. Breathe in to take yourself up another level. Breathe out to release less weight from within. Repeat these steps 10 times. Now look at your world, and watch it fade. Know that it is the illusion, which has blinded you from your true self. Now as you read the final line, liberated you shall be, as this book fades beyond your reach. You now must use your imagination, and creativity, for your world now bends to your will…

After reading the last line all of what was said came into fruition. The book was gone. But so was my home and all of my things, yet my cloths remained.
I thought to myself, “ oh I should have taken them off.” This thought scared me, and my fear, made the cloths tighter. And the air around me became stale and dark. I felt myself becoming more and more restricted, and I fell into an eternal chasm screaming on my way down.
As I feel I saw those that must have been the souls of the damned and the lost, all withering in torment and grief.
I continued my decent.
But as I fell I thought of all that I had read, and began to remember what the book had said.

It’s all in your mind.

And so I calmly relaxed, and remembered my home and my world, and wisp, I was there. The rain was pouring and I was on my recliner with my book in my lap.
“I must have fallen asleep,” I whispered.
So I looked at my book and turned the page, and there it was.

Be careful what you read, for it is all in your mind.
